Bachelor of Business Management
Overview
BBM sits between BBS and BBA in Tribhuvan University's management portfolio: a semester-based degree weighted toward applied management practice, entrepreneurship and small-business operations rather than corporate management theory. It shares the CMAT entrance route with BBA and BITM.
What the syllabus covers
- Principles of management and organisational behaviour
- Accounting, business finance and taxation
- Marketing and sales management
- Entrepreneurship and new venture creation
- Operations and supply chain basics
- Internship and project work
Who it suits
Students who intend to start or join a family business rather than enter corporate employment. The entrepreneurship weighting is genuine, and several colleges attach incubation support to it.
Think twice if
You are targeting multinational or banking graduate schemes. Recruiters in Nepal recognise BBA more readily than BBM, fairly or not, and BBM's smaller alumni base gives you a thinner network to draw on.
BBM compared to BBA
Same entrance, similar cost, different emphasis. BBM leans toward running a business; BBA leans toward being employed by one. Choose on which of those you actually intend to do.
Eligibility and entrance
+2 or equivalent in any stream with minimum 45% aggregate (or 1.8 CGPA), plus a pass in the TU CMAT entrance examination.
Entrance
CMAT — Central Management Admission Test

On fees
We do not publish per-college fee figures, because they change every intake and a stale number is worse than none. Our cost guide explains how Nepali college fees are structured and what to ask before you pay.
