New Summit College
About
Established in 2064 B.S. by a team of professionals in Nepalese academia, New Summit College at Shantinagar Gate, New Baneshwor specialises in management, science and information technology. It runs TU-affiliated BSc CSIT, BCA, BBM and BBS programs alongside +2 education in Science and Management, and is known for strong TU board results in computing subjects.
What Tribhuvan University affiliation means for you
Tribhuvan University sets the syllabus, conducts the examinations and issues the certificate — the college teaches to a curriculum it does not control. In practice that means two things worth planning around: examination and result timing is decided centrally and has historically been prone to delay, and the qualification is the most widely recognised in Nepal both by employers and by the public service. Fees at TU-affiliated private colleges vary widely for an identical syllabus, so the college you pick changes the cost and the teaching, not the degree.
Ask before you enrol
- Ask how many of the last three intakes finished within the scheduled four years.
- Ask who teaches the practical and project papers, not just the theory papers.
- Confirm which fees go to TU (registration, examination) and which to the college.
Programs offered
Our guides to programs taught here
BSc Computer Science and Information Technology
Students who enjoyed mathematics at +2 and want the theoretical depth that makes later specialisation — machine learning, distributed systems, security research — actually accessible. If you intend to apply for a master's abroad, this is the strongest computing transcript Tribhuvan University issues.
Bachelor of Computer Application
Students who want to write software professionally without a mathematics-first curriculum, and students from +2 Management who studied Computer Science — BCA is one of the few computing degrees that accepts them. The internship requirement means graduates typically leave with real workplace experience attached to their CV.
Bachelor of Business Studies
Students who need to earn while they study, and anyone for whom cost is the deciding factor — BBS is the most affordable recognised bachelor degree in Nepal by a wide margin. It is also the standard qualification behind a large share of Nepal's accounting and banking workforce.
Bachelor of Business Management
Students who intend to start or join a family business rather than enter corporate employment. The entrepreneurship weighting is genuine, and several colleges attach incubation support to it.
Facilities
Facility lists are what institutions describe themselves as having. Treat them as a prompt for what to look at on a campus visit rather than as a verified inventory.

On fees
Fees change every intake and the quoted figure rarely includes everything. Our cost guide lists the six heads Nepali colleges bill under and the questions that get a complete number.
