Who it suits
Students who did not clear the TU or PU computing entrances but are serious about an IT career, and students in eastern Nepal who want to study close to home rather than relocating to Kathmandu.
Think twice if
You are optimising for employer recognition in Kathmandu. Purbanchal's computing degrees are less familiar to valley recruiters, so graduates typically need a stronger portfolio to compensate. Check your college's actual lab facilities before committing — provision varies widely across Purbanchal affiliates.
BIT compared to BCA
Comparable difficulty and career destination. BCA carries the Tribhuvan University name and a larger alumni network; BIT is easier to get a seat in and is more available outside the Kathmandu valley.
